Our Ministry
We lead English Bible studies in Silom, downtown Bangkok, and have launched our online project, a network of English Bible studies (https://www.facebook.com/iBSO247/). We also connect visiting teams and supporters with organizations like Cedar Learning Center, Courageous Kitchen, Elijah Foundation, Found Campus Ministries, Hand to Hand Pattaya, Help Live and Rahab, as well as Bethel Home in Yangon, Myanmar.

Prayer Request:
I will be evermore thankful for God's grace and blessings.
My family in the States will stay healthy as they study and work.
The online Bible study groups will continue to encourage people around the world.
YFC Thailand visa 3-yr commitment, Please pray for God's clear guidance, as I make a decision about where to get my visa after my old school's visa expires in three months, and whether or how I should try to rebuild my traditional missionary activities besides the online Bible studies. I'm getting friendly advice that these online Bible studies are not "marketable"-- basically, donors want to support what they can see. I'm reminded of one of my conversations with Dr Lee (Global Together), where he gave an example of how people tend to be more interested in AIDS, which kills about 600,000 people a year and for which scientists are still trying to find a cure, partly because there are more grants available. But relatively fewer people get excited about the simple preventative measures for diarrhea, which are responsible for twice as many deaths, with half of them being children. I made a decision as I wrote my first newsletter from Thailand not to forget that my purpose as a missionary is to serve the church in Thailand, even if my funding source is from America; I hope to maintain communication to minimize the differences in understanding between the two sides.

I landed at LAX on the night of Christmas Eve. We thought it'd be important to talk face to face to discuss options for 2025 before my visa expires at the end of February. Flights on Christmas Eve were very cheap. May 2025 be a blessed year for all of us! "They said.." Sarah suggested that I not visit this Christmas break but save money instead, especially since I'm no longer bound by the school calendar. I hope to visit California after the holidays, assuming I can secure a sponsor for a visa before the school visa expires at the end of February. At the end of my previous newsletter I mentioned how two churches still support us. I meant that they are the two churches that have been supporting us from the beginning, 20 years ago. There are three other churches that are also supporting us currently, along with a couple of friends that have been supporting us since the end of 2004, unconditionally, it seems.
